The Newscaster from July 2023
Greetings from several states (which could easily be interpreted as “I’m not sure where I am”)
The rainforest defeats me: “onX” says there is a stream about 80 yards southeast of me, and I can hear running water. But I can’t find a way to it, and I’m not confident I could fish it if I could. Guess I have been spoiled.
Our annual memorial to Al Sillonis consists of a donation of $500 to the ICOA (Idaho Conservation Officers Assoc.) youth camp.
Our July meeting on the 11th will again be informal, so come prepared to buy some food & beverage, and enjoy some conversation. Since I have been away, I have not heard any reports of trips, successful or otherwise, so this will be a good time to catch up with everyone. If you are a tier of stream trout flys, bring a few to donate to our club project.
Come August, our annual picnic/potluck at Memorial Park is scheduled for the 22nd (It’s a Tuesday). I hear CHICKEN is on the menu, plus whatever you all bring to share.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, if to go find a fish (or several).
